About Us
Meet Our Founder & Chief Creative Officer
As the first in her family to graduate highschool, college and graduate school, Michelle received her B.S. in Biology from Trinity College in Hartford, CT and her M.H.S. Pathologists’ Assistant from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. With a passion for helping others and a love for science, she began her journey through the medical field at the early age of 15. Since then, she has volunteered and/or worked in Radiology, the Medical Intensive Care Unit, Medical Research (Trauma, Psychiatry, Obstetrics & Gynecology), as an EMT-b and most recently in Pathology (Surgery and Autopsy) where she served as a Pathologists’ Assistant (PA) processing surgical specimens and performing autopsies.
After the birth of her second daughter, Michelle resigned from her position as a PA due to medical reasons. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of her entrepreneurial journey. She is now the Mami, Founder, and Chief Creative Officer of Mami Works Design Studio. In her current role, Michelle continues to follow her passion for medicine and helping others by channeling her creative energy to partner with incredible women healthcare providers on a mission to educate and serve their communities, however they do not have the time, inclination or expertise to bring their message to life through visual marketing assets.
Outside of her graphic design work, Michelle can be found singing and dancing with her family, which includes her hardworking husband and four amazing kids (3 girls and 1 boy, ages 3-13). Her life is a colorful canvas of medicine, entrepreneurship, and a whole lot of family fun!
